I love the warmth of the late summer sunlight in the bottom picture and the shadows that are cast on the wall. It’s only later that you notice what’s through the arched “window” (sorry, it’s “Bagpuss” we are meant to be referencing, not “Play School”, isn’t it?)
The “Death & The Maiden”picture is another highly affecting composition.
I love the shadows in the top picture. The (statue of a?) cat only appears after you’ve looked at the photo for a while but it then becomes the centre of attention. Lots to enjoy. I like it when looking at a picture for a long time is rewarded.
