Trust

A shot that I didn't capture - it probably wouldn't have worked anyway - was of a kid running up to Dad and giving him her chips whilst she ran off to play elsewhere. Might seem daft, but it was the absolute trust - her food would be there, untouched, when she returned, that impressed me. And here, Dad is the absolute source of comfort and trust. And he was, btw. You can see he was busy elsewhere, but for that moment his daughter needed him and that came first.

It's of necessity that this absolute trust is something we lose as we move into adulthood, but it is lovely to see in kids. I suppose it's why I get so angry when that trust is betrayed. Better for him that a millstone ...
