Manston Visitors (1)

A lot of people laugh at Manston calling itself "Kent International Airport", but it does have visitors from all over the place (like this DC10 from the States) on a regular basis.

Regular military visitors are C130s from the UAE. Not quite sure what they do - they seem to travel back with a large freight load. Usually, they are all-white. This visitor is obviously one that's deployed before now on the Pakistan supply runs - hence grey scheme and anti-missile defences.

RAF Red Arrows Hawk arriving at Manston. Kent International Airport has a very long runway. It is a former RAF base, and was (is?) an emergency field for Heathrow. It has a lot of military visitors, and seems to be used as a base during air show season.
