Interesting little Museum in Canterbury. A mixture of excavated sites, unearthed artifacts and reconstructions. Photography allowed, and it's pretty camera friendly. Lighting's appalling, but tripods are allowed (at least they were on this visit). It's also very child friendly, with a whole hands-on area and lots of things that can be touched. Worth a visit.

Statues

(c)2006 Jon Pumpkin Think this golden dancer is on top of the Victoria Palace Theatre. Whatever, it's on one of the theatres on Victoria Street.

(c)2006 Jon Pumpkin Mermaid on the frontage of Victoria Station. Dates from about 1906. I was surprised at the level of detail. The anti-pigeon netting makes it look a little kinky though ....

(c)2006 Jon Pumpkin Unimpressed Pigeons. Outside Victoria Station, London. The pigeons didn't seem to care about the anti-pigeon devices. Even saw one sitting quite happily in the middle of a load of barbs, looking smugly safe from eviction.
