Statues


(c)2006 Jon Pumpkin Think this golden dancer is on top of the Victoria Palace Theatre. Whatever, it's on one of the theatres on Victoria Street.

(c)2006 Jon Pumpkin Mermaid on the frontage of Victoria Station. Dates from about 1906. I was surprised at the level of detail. The anti-pigeon netting makes it look a little kinky though ....

there was someone who said, Look up and you see another London! who was that? probably anyone who ever took a moment to raise his eyes from the pavement... ;o)

how are you then? still taking good pictures, I see.

the netting looked like a textural photo effect before I read the description.

The dancer figure -- could it possibly have been erected for the Billy Elliot production? It certainly looks like one of the VP's three domes, but I can't find any picture that shows anything mounted like the golden ballerina.
