The idea started with the final photo, or with shots based on the set-up in the final photo (a block of which follows). But then it seemed that a narrative sequence might not be a bad variation, removing some unwanted ambiguities (the characters know what is being asked of them; it is a ritual, and there is no victim) and strengthening others (What does happen? Is it symbolic, or does something really dreadful occur?). Whatever, I hope it emphasises an act of love, rather than hate or humiliation.
